WeBuildPeople - "One Tribe, One Child" -
We Build People raises funds for families who can’t otherwise fully afford YMCA programs and services. Members of the Arapahoe Nation are encouraged to give so families less fortunate can benefit from a Y experience. "One Tribe - One Child" is a great place start - where a tribe's annual wampum is donated so a child can attend summer camp. Watch the WeBuildPeople campaign video here.

Tennispalooza
Tennispalooza 2008 will benefit Junior Acheivement, a non-profit for kids which is dedicated to educating and inspiring students to succeed in the global economy. Held at Lake Lynn Park, the tennis event is for the whole family: novices and advanced players and spectators and can be attend/participat anytime between Noon and 5pm on Saturday September 20, with activities including: group tennis lessons, speed radar court, and prizes for balls hit, money raised and accuracy.

20th Annual Walk for Hope
Plan to join other YMCA Guides and Princesses for the 20th Annual Walk for Hope on Sunday, October 12, 2008. The Walk for Hope is a day of fun for the whole family and is the only annual community event in the country raising funds for mental health research. Stay for the post walk celebration with food, music, prizes and mental health informational booths. Patches will be sent to all participating Y Guides and Princesses.

Tribes looking for a Spring community service project have the opportunity to make GREAT STRIDES - the CF Foundation’s largest fund-raising event - a huge success. Walk day is a fun, family-oriented celebration that includes a healthy 6.2 mile walk through Downtown Raleigh.

This football season, instead of just sitting around watching the games on TV - why not spend a Saturday with your child and tribe helping prepare lunches for the hungry and homeless?
The Brown Bag Ministry prepares and distributes 225 brown bag lunches to the homeless every Saturday at Moore’s Square in downtown Raleigh and they could use your help!
